CAROLINE MADL ABOUT
Degree in ethnology (today cultural and social anthropology) at the University of Vienna.
After working (production and press) for imagetanz and ImpulsTanz, she took over the management of the group Pilottanzt in 1995.
From 1995 to 2001 she curated the series Short Cuts at the dietheater (today brut) with Pilottanzt.
Since 2002 she is part of Superamas, responsible for management, touring, production management and the development of an international network of partner institutions and association structures.
From 2013 to 2017 she taught, among other things, at the Master's course at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne "International Co-production" and gives lectures and is a discussion partner at the Institute for Cultural Management and Gender Studies (IKM), at the IG Freie Theater and at the Cultural Management Days (ACMC) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) on the task of production management and international networking.
Furthermore, she is part of the Wiener Perspektive and is involved in the working group "working conditions".
In 2019, she worked for the project coordination of the City of Vienna's municipal laboratories.
In 2020 she is the production manager for the new play of Superama's "The Man Who Killed Muammar Gaddafi", which was to have its premiere in Avignon in July. The premiere has now taken place at the Actoral Festival in Marseille. The production will also be shown in Avignon in 2021.
In summer 2020 she was responsible for the project coordination of the Vienna Summer of Culture.
In 2021-22 she will work with Peter Kubelka, among others, on the documentation of his collection.
